Combination Helmets

Combination helmets are PPE safety workwear that combine elements of head protection, face protection, and sometimes ear protection, too. If you work in a sector in which the tasks you carry out are hazardous for the head, face, and ears, this item has you covered for all eventualities. Those in forestry may be concerned about falling branches as well as splinters that kick up as they saw trees, potentially getting in their eyes. The loud noise of the saw could also affect their hearing, which all makes combination helmets the perfect solution for this work situation.

Further Information on Combination Helmets

The hard hat element of the combination helmet is a tough, durable shell that is designed to cushion the impact of objects that fall on top of it, absorbing the shock on the wearer and protecting them from major injury. You can usually adjust the size internally so that it fits perfectly on your head as you set about your tasks. Having the correct fit is hugely important as having a helmet too tight and too loose can see it under perform when you need it most. It is also less comfortable and more distracting while you are trying to work.

Attached to the hard hat in the combination helmet is a visor. These are usually mesh or plastic and sometimes you can interchange between the two, based on the job you are carrying out. The visor protects your face and eyes from any flying debris produced as a result of your job and keeps you out of danger.

Also attached to the hard hat in the combination helmet are ear defenders. If you are working with chainsaws, trimmers, or brushcutters, the excessive noise can otherwise cause damage to your hearing, either temporary or permanent, or other hearing related issues such as tinnitus.
